Higher Education for Sale Exclusively In Inida

To day India has 850 universities including 384 state Universities ,123 deemed universities ,47 central universities and 296 private universities. Apart from these universities there are 91 Institutes of national importance, the total number is 941 Higher educational Institutions are there in India. Apart from Universities there are 12288 colleges are there which are affiliated to these Universities in these colleges 80608 are private institutes and there are 621 autonomous colleges are there in which 451 are non-government institutions.

Since last 10 years the rate of establishment of new universities in India is around 48 universities per year. As per the increase in population it is somewhat reasonable figure but most of these universities are private and deemed Universities In which fees and qualities are not in the control of government. The faculty they requite will not have the proper qualifications. As per the U.G.C act 1953 Education is a service and should not be for the profit that’s why most of these people start either a Trust or a society or a non-profitable company to establish an educational institution.

In around 941 independent higher educational institution in India there is a not a single institution that is in the top 100 premier institutes of world. the question that arises after wards is that what these many institutions are doing. the number of patents that were filed by India are not more than 50,000 per year while china has filed more than 1 million patents per year .

Most of the graduates who are coming out of these institutes are not employable. the percentage is around 21% only who are employable after completion of their degree.

the number of journal that are published by these universities /colleges are not even reached 1lack per year and most of these are in the fake journals.

The main objective of any institution is to produce skilled and talented graduates, to do research and to invent some thing that is useful for the society by using there knowledge .This is what most of the universities that are out side of India are doing .But after seeing above data we will get a conclusion that institutes in India are not doing / following any one of these .
